Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

eToolbox (“we”, “us”) provides free online tools at etoolbox.se. This policy explains what data we process and why. It is written to be plain and honest - privacy is a core reason this site exists.

The short version

  • We have no user accounts and no database. The site is stateless.
  • Most tools run entirely in your browser. Text, JSON, images and other input you type or upload to those tools is processed locally and is never sent to our server.
  • A small number of network tools (IP, DNS, WHOIS, reverse DNS, port check, email-header analyzer, bulk IP) necessarily send your query to our server to return a result. That data is processed transiently and is not stored or sold.

In-browser tools

Converters, calculators, encoders, formatters, image tools, generators and similar run as code in your browser. Whatever you paste or upload stays on your device. We don’t receive it.

Network tools

To answer a DNS, WHOIS, IP or similar lookup, your input (a domain, an IP address, or pasted email headers) is sent to our server, which performs the lookup and returns the result. For the “What is my IP”, IP lookup and port-check tools we read your public IP address from the CF-Connecting-IP header provided by Cloudflare. We use these values only to produce the answer you asked for. We do not keep server-side logs of personal data beyond transient, in-memory processing and short-lived rate-limit counters, and we run no database.

Advertising

We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we use a Google-certified consent banner (Consent Mode v2): ads that rely on cookies are only served after you consent, and you can change your choice any time via the “Privacy settings” link in the footer. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Analytics

We do not run on-page analytics by default. If we add privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics in future, we will update this policy and gate it behind consent where required.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you may have rights to access, correct, erase or object to processing of your personal data. Because we keep no accounts and store nothing about you, there is generally nothing to retrieve or delete - but you can contact us with any request.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
