Uppercase Text
Change your text so every letter becomes a capital, leaving numbers and symbols untouched.
About the Uppercase Text tool
This tool converts every letter in your text to its capital form, turning hello world into HELLO WORLD. Numbers, spaces, and punctuation are left exactly as they are, so only the alphabetic characters change. It is the fastest way to shout in a comment, format a heading, fill in a form that asks for block capitals, or make a label stand out without retyping anything.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text into the box.
- The ALL CAPS version updates as you go.
- Copy the output and paste it where you need it.
One thing to know: converting to uppercase loses the original casing, so you cannot perfectly restore mixed-case text just by lowercasing it again. If you might need the original, keep a copy first. Accented letters are capitalised correctly where the language defines a capital form. All conversion happens inside your browser, so your text is never sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Does uppercase conversion change numbers or symbols?
No. Only letters are affected. Digits, spaces, and punctuation marks pass through unchanged, so something like 3 cats! becomes 3 CATS! with the same numbers and symbols.
Can I undo uppercase to get my original text back?
Not exactly. Once text is all capitals, the original mix of upper and lower case is lost, so lowercasing it later will not restore the exact original. Keep a copy if you need it.
Does it capitalise accented characters?
Yes. Accented letters are converted to their capital equivalents according to standard rules, so words in many European languages capitalise correctly.
Is my text private?
Yes. The conversion happens entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded or stored.
